If you go by the description of job role and its functions it is Telemarketing,however a Professional Salesman would not restrict him/herself in an Activity which helps to achieve sales So dont hold back your self in doing all as a professioanl in accomplishing sales.

Apart from telemarketing another thign that he /she can do is note down the details of the prospeccts who call in and send a rep at the prospects conveniance. This type of prospects are sure shot sales and for most sales reps they are welcome as hot calls. otherwise they have to do cold calls by knocking at doors physically or over the phone where the rate of sccess is sometimes as low as2%.
