In my corner of the world - having dealt with various countrymen and foreigners - I have noticed that ethics and morals are different over here when conducting business. E.g. - service delivery and commitment doesn't always embody the word 'integrity'. Here people will lie to get the business and if you complain they will try and be rude and undermine you to 'teach you a lesson'. They give off the impression that you should be thankful for them and not vice versa. In most non-SA countries the focus is on the customer and not vice versa. What is your experience?
Yes, I think you are right, different communities conduct business differently.
Ethics is a relative concept. I see that it is mostly based on the common value system. And again, values are seen through the fairness and justice percceived in the community and its leadership.
I saw exceptions in some communities and they were able to handle these exceptions but this is not always the case. I think that we all should keep trying peacefully to enforce ethical behaviors to the best of our abilities.

Primary cultural values are transmitted to a culture's members by parenting and socialization, education, and religion. There are also secondary factors that affect ethical behavior. They include differences in the systems of laws across nations, accepted human resource management systems, organizational culture, and professional cultures and codes of conduct.
Definitely there is! What is ethical for you may not be ethical for others. And vice-versa. This difference would be eliminated if all countries were to follow the same code of Ethics everywhere, like standardisation of Accounting principles.
