My dad is a sales manager, I have asked him this question. He replied back with this " When you sell something, first thing you should do is overwhelm that persoan with your personality if you can do that you can create relationships and when that happens sales comes at the end.
The personality of the sales representatives impact on the company reputation, the salesman must to be creative and smart enough to get what is the customer exactly needs. Quality and excellent customer service are important and they are on the same level of importance.
Poor customer service demolishes the impact of a product's quality. What is the value of the highest quality car if you can't get it serviced?

As a salesman it's really essential to have an extroverted, friendly personality- you have to be able to build rapport with the potential client and not force them to buy the product BUT influence their decision-making. I personally would never sell a product that was flawed, over-priced, or low quality because an unsatisfied customer can give bad reputation about the company and it's products. My personality, charm, and communication skills are important but what's even more significant is the quality of the product. Just because I sell a million defected batteries that inevitably lead my company to battle a lawsuit does not make me the number one salesman in the nation. I have to have confidence in my abilities and in my product. Reaching the sales target even surpassing it should be a goal, but the intergrity of the company , your own moral code, and the customer should not have to suffer at the expense of a bad product. :)
i think to be good sales person its very importain to have excellent coustomer service with positive attitude beacuse every sales person know there brand and goods information and there quality but most difficulty is how and when use that information. the good sales person always ready for answer to any kinds of quetion with politely and good attitude. you can sale any thing with good smile but you doesnt sale any good items with bad attitude.

It is said that good salesman can sell anything with nice and positive attitude and success in persuation.
If the product is one of the best things but nobody managed to convince others about it then it will nevre be sold and this idea is also vise versa.
