I dont want to look unprofessional because i know i should expect negative feedback and everything but it is weird because i have been trying for a long time and i cant get one interview. I live in Qatar for more than5 years. I speak3 languages (including Arabic). I have exactly the degree they are looking for. No issue in my RP. Driving license. Good knowledge of the market. Other skills checked too and experience.
You are convinced but not the employer- This is not uncommon- but we need to figure it out
Most probably they might find a more better choice as per job requirements.
Matching CV does not guarantee you will get call for interview; There can be more constraints eg.
How ever candidate must know that every100 job application have only1 % interview response, Unfortunately candidates apply for30-60 job application and expecting load of interview calls.
Please note that finding a job is FULL TIME JOB.
My advice Noha, it is to contact directly the employer, through websites like bayt, it will be very difficult, and it is not related to your qualifications, i am sure you apply to the jobs that are suitable for you, but the reason is that in some cases for a job will apply more than1000 people, so you really need be lucky, the recruiter to screen your CV. Try apply directly to company website, or contact directly the recruiter (when it is possible, as sometimes might not find this details).
Best of luck !!
It,s a faith man keep try your best dont give up.
Thank you all for your answers.
I actually decided to write this question after many times trying to find a job THE RIGHT WAY without knowing somebody who knows somebody who knows somebody...
But unfortunetly it seems this is how it works especially in Qatar.
So like Elena said i probably have to go straight to the company and just apply there although i tried it one time and they told me to go through the website etc etc...
All i can do now is just keep sending my cv online and wait :)
But seriously have any company hired any candidate from bayt or any other recruiting agency? cz till now i dont know any case.
Regards,
Hi Noha,
My reply will appear strange to you but Bayt do have a strange type of option that you can consider adopting! They ask for US$40 to promote your application. I have not tried this but some friends have told me that this helps in promoting your application and it does catch the employers' attention. Since I am in Pakistan and am trying to get a job in Saudi Arabia or the UAE, I am hesitant in paying this fee as employers prefer candidates living within their country having proper visas and available for interviews without expense for the employer.
Do look at this option and decide. I find Alshaya an interesting employer. They have a presence everywhere and you may apply directly through their website www.alshaya.com.
Good Luck,
Shams
It's not your situation, it's every one situation and every one have the similar issue, I also apply dozens of jobs daily, but do not get any reply, however in my freelance career i do get response and did lots of jobs. What I have figured out that we must apply for nearest place jobs i.e., within your area, instead of submitting the CV via email, send it by visiting their officeto get their attention. This way you will certainly get a job. Best of luck!
Getting job is like selling your skills and sometimes its really hard to convince an employer sitting in front of you so just imagine how he would get impressed just by a sheet of paper. yes i do happen and people get jobs but again its all about being "right place at right time".
applying directly or through a website is two different things but again its your resume which the HR will consider you from.
coming straight to point, things you need to do to get employed (no guarantee though);
1. Professionally Written Resume (altered according to the job profile to a limit)
2. Emphasizing more on skill thats employer maybe looking for.
3. Apply as early as possible (as early applications are considered preferably)
4. Get recommendations on resume.
5. Try to have a personal approach to the HR if you can.
good question, a lot of this happens with you and many more applicant. i don't know why they tend to neglet the fact that you applied for a job, and it matches your requirements, it's even hard to convince them to acknowlege an email.
It's completely unfair but don't giveup.
