Airport retailing is a big opportunity given its (literally) captive audience of highly attractive consumers. However, as more merchants enter the space there will be the same challenges as other retail venues in terms of competition and customer engagement.

Retail Area at the airport such as Duty Free Shops plays an important role to full fill the needs of passengers. A passenger can buy anything ( Allowed to Hand Carry on Board) on the go. Besides it is also a revenue generating mechanism for the Government.
On the other hand it is necessary make sure that the passenger is not taking more than he/ she is allowed to carry on hand. Because over carried baggage weight could be a hazard for the Airline.
