I think first you MUST be one of the team and not outside in the managerial level , always be connected with your team all time and make stuff meeting at least one per month , Then You must give your team the self turst and to be independend and share the work operations with them and not make the inforamtions only controlled by you but as much you give them as much you will receive from them as well.
Plan schedule
followup progress in suitable intervals
Take control measures if delayed , repeat till finishing the task
Clear Action plan
keep follow up
ask for the final result on time
take it in consideration in appraisals
like a boss it's awesome actually that's why.....i build my team from the zero line assemble them modify their performance question the choices they take keep my final word as controller all that build a language among my team after a while it becam a habit of rely on and do it
