What are the most important things you should focus on while teaching kids?

With kids..I've no best thing ,excuse me and no big experience in teaching sorry .

Well,teaching needs a two way communication.You talk to people and they should be able to give you feedback which comes in form of verbal or written consent.Without feedback it becomes wasted time and effort.

Teaching kids needs a little understanding of psychology of children and keeping in mind their behaviour you have to adopt different preffered methods. However a general focus should be on:

1- Discipline

2- How to catch their attention?

3- Teach at the level of their mental ability

4- Appreciate whole heartedly their participation in activities

5- Get them involved completely in each activity in the classroom

VERY GOOD question...

First and the foremost point to keep in your mind is they are KIDS. Avoid parallalex error with their level of thinking. Enjoy your teaching and also make the kids to enjoy your sessions. That's all.
