Hi,

i assume that when you say "Virtualization" you are talking about Operating System Virtualization, u have many tools, some are included in the linux software repository (depends on your linux distrubution), most of the virtualization tools recorded the best performance, is the virt-manager which will be easy to use user interface to manager virtual machines, and configure them to run on the engins XEN or QEMU. need much work than usual,

more easier to use tool on linux is VirtualBox will give much easier GUI and will do full virtualization only (no para-virtualization as XEN or QEMU), much easier to understand and to backup the machines, but will have some times some software bugs, by experience its not the best on linux servers, but on desktop like fedora and ubuntu its doing very good job.

the best one without bugs and easy to use GUI is VMWare, its not opensource, and its not free of charge, and its not the best performance as the VirtualBox / XEN / QEMU, but if you work on it you almost will not have any software bugs, but you have to get a high performance network and hardwaew to be able to continue using it with no lagging.

Hints, if you are able to read the documentation of the Virt-Manager, its the best one for me, i had some issues configureing the bridge network between the virtual machine and the physical network, but it was the best one, if not go with virtualbox, until u have some bad bugs and u can't find a solution for it on virtualbox forums, then go and buy vmware, and buy  a good hardware.

good luck, with best regards
