actually, it is depends on the method of shear design.

for example, In EC2 the method of shear design is known as variable strut inclination method. when using this method it is necessary to allow for additional longitudinal force in the tension steel caused by applied shear force.

so that  at any section it is necessary to provide longitudinal reinforcement addtional to that the requiired at that section to resist bending .

therefore, there is one thing must be attention when considering the curtailment : which is

we have to add additional tensile bars   with minimum  reinforcement25%  of the renforcement provided in span.
