I think having good manners is a skill in itself. It takes no amount of compensation working with a professional and well-educated manager. Hence a good leader doesn't need to be ill-mannered to teach his team members the right skills they needed. Regardless of whether you are a manager or a subordinate, you should be treated fairly and with respect. So the answer is - you shouldn't put up to an ill-mannered manager because rest assured, you can also learn a LOT from a manager who has good manners. You may start to look out for one!

If your boss has bad manners and belittles employees, it will affect employee confidence and esteem which is worse because no matter how many skills you have, if you don't have confidence, you won't get anywhere. Additionally, bad manners will affect your work and even your personality. Better to work for a good-mannered boss. At least your peace of mind will be intact!

I worked with a bad mannerd boss and not only it affected my personality and my self-esteem but also my family life. At the end I quit the job because I couldn't take it anymore and I was unemployed for a long time. The time I spent in that office was one of the worst, so I strongly believe that, there is a great joy if you can have a polite environment at work because you are relaxed and then you can learn and benefit from all the new circumstances you face every day.

I prefer to work for managers who pay attention to my personal development. If they happen to have bad manners, I will try to handle the situation to best of my abilities. If I can't bare the situation, I will look for other alternatives.

I think good manners has a very important role at workplace. Anyone exhibiting bad manners, creates tension and unrest in the whole atmosphere which affect the performce of all working there, and in such place neither they can put their best skills nor produce the desired results. If your manager has bad manners, he will himself be in tension each time, and will not be able to instil his skills into his subordinates. Moreover, his subordinates despite their desire would also not be able to learn without peace of mind. In short your manager or supervisor whatever the case may be, should be a loving person.

Of course I choose the first option for two reasons:

1- Gaining skills in your job.

2- Your manager's bad manners itself has positive sides such as: Refining your communication, negotiation skills, conflict resolution skills, emotional intelligence and your personal skills as a whole.

Bad manner creates hassle between boss and supervisee. Boss will be a learner center for the subordinates to grow a career. It would not happen, if the supervisor incompetent to execute the work. In this situation, I try to push in right manner, if not then alternative option.

Neither....neither would be a company that would meet my career aspirations. Plus, if the company hires incompetent managers then they are probably hiring incompence at all levels including me!

Of course you have to go for the experience only as at the end this is what you are looking for in order to improve yourself

I have to be honest with you and i think we MUST be as well, it doesn't differ any of them , the important is that i got better salary and full package as long we are working in any company and not our company then we MUST obey any manager regardless the attitude of him / her , but all you can do is giving advice for your opinion supported by events in order to be with the same line with your managers and not outside the line.
