Somehow, I agree with Ms. Ghada.
I am not manager yet but I know how it feels to become one.
Pressure is the common thing in all managers.
However it can be resolved depending on how effiecient you can be in making immediate decisions and how effective you are planning your operations.
In our case, wherein we normally faced with urgent demands for banqueting and catering, we manage to overcome failures by investing primarily on retaining and training our staff. Having worked with such professionals could minimize the f..k ups in operations.
More so, our products are considered as basic human needs. Guest comes to you basically to experience pleasure and luxury. If you are currently working in an old property surely complaints comes to you instantly and the only way to resolve it is investing on renovation and new line resources.
Same goes with our sales, they're face with the same reason of old property to compare with our competitors. But again it can be resolve by stressing on the value of our services. No matter how old the property, that depends on the people who are passionate and consistently doing right service for our guest.
Hospitality managers becomes imaginably hard mainly because of current situations on property, resources and demand.
However, he / she may overcome this critical aspects by the means and know how considering success factors within his /her department - the well trained TEAM,sufficient RESOURCES,competitive CONTRACT, value for PRODUCTs & SERVICES.
