Mostly yes, researchers don't have to visit libraries regularly as almost all paper-based resources have been digitised. With webinars, researchers don't have to travel to attend seminars and share their research. It's also possible to conduct more elaborated experiments with more sohpisticated equipments. On another hand, research has become insanely expensive and I'm not sure if it's possible to be100% confident that it is easier at all levels.
