Here in Jordan, we have two types; the national or local test, which simply certifies a certain level of English mastery for people wishing to pursue higher studies or find a job in Jordan, it's made up of three parts only; Reading comprehension, grammar or structure, and listening, this test is paper based & has a one year validity. The international version pretty much resembles that which is used elsewhere, it's meant for those wishing to study or work in foreign countries, it's fairly more difficult than the national one as it has speaking and writing questions, it's internet based and valid for two years.
