There are two important things that all good retailer should clearly define and display which is Stratergy and secondly their Operational implementation.
Stratergy will define the following such what the company is going to achieve and by when, and at the same time can repositioned based on the companies ever changing trading lanscape such as Econonmic, Social, Political etc. variables which may impact on the way the company can do buisness.
Operational implementation or excellence is a given and at all cost should never be comprimised i.e customer service, presentation of enviroment and product, effective logistics etc. Also Opereational implemention is key to the strategic success and positioning as far the company's vision is concerned.
Most importantly Stratergy and Operational implementation or excellence must compliment each other to ensure to ensure long term sustainability.
