Give me some examples of projects or tasks where you postponed immediate action. Why?

So many in30+ years of my professional career.

The reasion has always been one of these

1. Unability to continue due to fiscovering an unknown/unforeseen show-stopper
2. Change of priorities due to emerging new developments
3. Rise of emergencies/conflicts/crisis forcing me to postpone/freeze/hold till they are resolved

Differing a project is mainly on two consideration. One is lack of fund and the other is external or environmental forces difficult to overcome. Hi ever prioritising of project is on financial criteria like IRR, payback period etc.An activity in a project can be postponed if it not fall on the critical path and depending on the slack of that activity in the parallel path.

1. Due to decision of line managers/decision making authorities

2. Extremism and political conflicts in working area, government decisions or some emergency situation

one is inventory, i had to postponed the purchase of stocks due to insufficient fund.
