A lot of people find writing difficult, or boring. Technical writing, by definition, for most people is even worse then. What most people don't see is the process. You can't simply write, you have to start with what you know and move towards the unknown. Along the way you need to interview others, test equipment and software, learn tools, design layout and creatively communicate the information to the audience, in whatever way gets the message across best. A lot of people fail to see the creativity inherent in all of that - their loss, our job.
