My two favourite sites are: dribbble.com and behance.com.
Note that dribbble.com is not exactly a portfolio site; it started I believe as a controlled-invite peer review site, but in any case I find the quality of the portfolios on it very high. I think that it managed to attract high-caliber designers.

Everyone knows about Behance, and with some apps you can display it on most recruitment sites (I currently use my Behance page on my linkedin profile), but if you're looking for an individual site cargo-collective isn't bad, and you can hook it up to your own web address to make it easier for people to find your work. You can edit the HTML and CSS to get the layout you desire, you can put as many projects as you want, it's quite easy to use and it's quite cheap!
