The IT sector is fast developing and despite the market being overpopulated by "specialists" why is there such a deep need of qualified work force?

IT companies are offering300k per person to do a job and yet there is such a great lack of experts? Noweadays every dream waver, front page and winx user calls himself a web developer but what makes a good professional?

IT sector is vast,  and there are not enough schools or even disciplines to prepare someone for the huge range of jobs in IT, hence  the lack of qualified work force.

Ofcouse it will be as most of them are just newbies where they learn few process and call themself web developer and finally when they get a big job they outsource it to other vendors. Believe me I did a website work which was outsourced to someone then agin outsourced to someone and then to me.

Respected Madam

Working for a technical helpdesk for the last10 years I think  willing ness to learn and being flexible is more important than a degree. Being a B.Com graduate I learnt all about , laptops , desktops and printers. I know how to tear them down when they go bad. All this in the IT/ITES industry.

There will always be a need for IT, Computer Programmers, etc., as the field is rapidly growing. In the near future, EVERYTHING will be computer based. If computerized robots are now being used in the medical field, imagine construction? Infrastructure? We are headed towards a future of artificial intelligence. :)
