No,
Because my teaching period was for a shot period in2003, and more time I spent in Admin & Management field.
I used to teach spoken English by a game called "Talking Cards". It is a game played with the help of playing cards. It needs a list of questions with different symbol and number of card with each question. Each question represents a different card. Entire group can participate in it.
One person shuffles the cards and distribute one card each. He also holds the list of questions. Now first round starts. Each card holder has to answer the question in accordance to the listed question.
There are variety of questions in the list; single word answer, descriptive, narrative, etc.
It was very interesting for all ages and used to provide opportunity to speak on variety of topics without hesitation. It catered speaking and listening at the same time.
I used to use board games when I taught adjectives. I divided students into two groups in front of the black board.I wrote down adjectives and students had to write down the comparative and the superlative of each adjective.Students who finished first without mistakes were given a symbolic thing like a bar of chocolate .After that , they had to use the adjectives in sentences.
I have done so a number of times. One that stands out among others is a game l did on thinking outside the box for my Class7.It was both challenging and interesting. It is a game of nine dots arranged in three rows of three dots in each row.The dots have to be joined by just4(four) continous lines. They should not be separated.I am sure you got me?
i'd rather have role play acted out
Not much, as I work with adults
