He should never forget the three major aspects of maintenance. Safety of equipment, manpower and environment. To ensure this he needs to ensure that service suggested by the OEM are followed and carried out in a timely manner and as per defined procedures.
He must be professional technician & good at trouble shooting . He must study the equipment and live with it is problems,to reduce waste and further development. He must have ability to mentor the other team members and must also respect there opinion.
Step1- Be ready to learn. The glass which is already filled can no further be filled.
Step2- Respect. All around you, seniors and juniors.
Step3- Accept challenges. Troubelshooting for example.
Step4- Be patient. The opportunity will come to you. You just have to wait.
