Sure it is possible! You can use it on various ways. I use it to mange my company. We have4 employees - so we share one board. The board has4 columns: Ideas, To do, Doing, Done. Each team member has a separate siwmlane ( horizontal) with his/her name. But I know people who use one board for each company department (take a look at some Kanban examples). At the beginning we were using a traditional white board with sticky notes. However, it turned out that one of our team members needed to start working from home (due to personal reasons). Then we decided to use the online kanban board. We tried products such as LeanKit and Kanbanery, ultimately we have found that the best solution for us is Kanban Tool.
