IT is for sure one of the pillars of organization as it automates processes, creates critical data for decision making, creates new channels to interact with the customer with lower cost-to-serve, etc.
I do not believe IT is ruling the world as it is a tool for a goal and not a goal itself. As organizations try to be more cost-efficient they also invest in lean processes and rationalization which may not imply new IT projects
In my opnion information techonlogy not fully ruling the world, but it must the necessery part of all profession now. no one do ny thing with this.
well IT is not ruling the world at all but its giving the world a reliability so that anyone can perform his much butter and without a waste of time i give an example: what would make your calculating job easier a calculator or a piece of paper ?
Basic Knowledge of computing is not part of core IT. To me, in todays world nothing can be achieved professionaly with out IT, it is playing major role in day to day lifes of even common people. I will just give you the example of banking, without IT structure in banking sector it is impossible to meet almost any demands of todays need. Healthcare, Aerospace, industrials etc. all sectors are totally depending on IT.
