What are the ways of separating an image foreground from its background in Photoshop?

First you have to select outer edges of your image area/shape what you want to cut out from image (i.e. an Apple from a picture) with PEN TOOL (P). Make is a Seclection (CTRL+ENTER). The seclection area will be highligted on your image. Than make layer of your backgound image (Double Clink on layer+ press OK). Than inverse the selection (Ctrl+Shift+I) and press DELETE. Your background will be deleted. ENJOY.
