Software for analysis and simulation Optimize and test the project before construction starts using the Simulation Program. The integration of simulation tools for mechanical, structural, fluid flow, thermal and plastic injection molding design process can improve quality, reduce costs and shorten time to market.
AutoCAD for any general application like drafting, layout preparation, schematic drawings, P&ID etc
SolidWorks, SolidEdge, Inventor etc for Engineering design. We can do complete3D modeling, Assembly, generate drawings from part & Assembly etc. We shall use them for95% of engineering application. Cost wise less expensive. May be3-4 times of AutoCAD
CATIA, Pro E for very advanced engineering like surface designs, very advanced options, key customizations involved areas. These tools are customized as per client requirement depending on processes of manufacturing & its integration in their facility. They complex and need excellent skills to do advanced jobs.
Opportunitywise SolidWorks & Inventor is most recommeded. Easy to learn and we can do most of the job. Used widely throughout the world.
solidworks is a very user friendly software
CATIA comes first, but it is complex and expensive.
SolidWorks is the best reasonable software.
for structural designing NASTRAN is best and for designing SOLIDWORKS.
for fluid mechanic AutoCAD, REVIT and SP3D
Modelling can be done with so many softwares which are well known and readily available.
Simulation on the other hand is difficult if its non kinematic system. Even more difficult if the system is too complex to be modelled mathematically. In that case, Artificial neural Network (A blackbox modelling approach) can be used for simulation.
From my point of view it is NX Unigraphics.
Solidworks because of its user friendliness and veriety of options it offers. On the other Pro E is quite difficult to use when compared with Slidworks.
catia is the first .solidwork came secande
- For Engineering Design and Simulation, use SolidWorks
- For Advanced Simulation, use ANSYS
you can use solidworks or catia
