No doubt this a field that's always in demand and its increasing by the passage of time. The more you're packed with skills, the more you're valued by your employers. Especially speaking about for web developers.

Yes. They are demanding and I don't think so that their demand is decreasing with passage of time. Industry needs change just like our needs change in our daily life with the passage of time so we have to adopt and groome our skills as per industry needs. A web developer should be a multi-skilled person and should have commands in different fields. If a person has smaller skills area then he/she may have small career circle, your career circle will be increasing with your skills area circle.

Off Course , Web Technologies are dominate all IT Fields , a lot of new trading platform like Mobile application , gained its strength from The Web protocols :D

With rise of new technology, change of the era, the website developer demand is increasing day by day.

Now a days almost all the business required online presence for better exposure.

Offcourse Yes, as the technology is growing and HTML5 CSS3  and JQuery is introduced now a days every one wants to upgrade their web site so I think the market is demanding again the web developers. and it is the time to sharp their weapons with new tools to attract the visitors which can be their customer.

diffenitly in demand but based on what languge and the place too..for Example here in Egypt PHP developers demanded much more than ASP.NET ones ..so the question is what type of developer and in where.

Yes, web developers are in demand. But they need to always update their skills. The future of web is mobile and then smart gadgets, so web developers are going to become 'web app developers', not necessarily desktop, not even mobile, but also smart watches, google glasses, gadgets, and covering 'Internet of the things'. Those who have this vision, will never fail. Web is going to become intertwined nearly in every electrnic device. Devices will be connected to internet for their whole life time, thus a future 'web app developer' needs to think and prepare in that direction.

I would say the demand is getting increasing . If we observe our daily life, things are getting replaced by web/internet. As the demand of web increasing so its developers.
