Because, nowadays, more and more people are awarded a diploma and overqualified. Thus the education is not any more enough to get a job, it is necessary to make the difference with the majority.The experience is a good example which can make you mark down besides.
Farooq, more and more newly qualified people find themselves in what is known as a "Catch22" situation, employer's want qualifications AND experience, unfortunately you may have the qualifications required but not the experience - the obvious question then being how do you get that experience??? Someone has to take a chance on you and say that "yes they have the qualifications and under my guidance they will gain the experience", but how many employer's are prepared to do that. Hence the "Catch22" situation!

For me there are two major reasons.... The folks who complete his / her studies specially Profissional studies they think or put a high demand in terms of salary with no experience... they have jobs which they dont wanna do because of their high demand.....
2ndly the competition in the market... todays world producing more profissionals then the available jobs in the market...
Beside the education, it is not only the experience but also the knowledge and understandng of the Industry where you have applied for the job also matters.. Suppose if you have experience in working with the trading concern and if your applying with a manufacturing, it will be difficult to consider your application.
In overseas countries, the nationality also matter to get the job..
Apart from all the above factor, the competition itself is such a key factor, that makes difficult to get the job..
Because of the competition on the jobs market. It is much more easier now to apply for a job. Many people apply online for an opening because of the easiness of the process even though many might not interested in the job. The huge number of the application will make it hard for someone's to stand out. Experience, Educatation, and the age are very imprtant. You can have more pluses by having a professional certificate like CPA or CMA.
Experience makes people learn to handle practical situations, that's the reason employers ask for experience, and are not ready to take risk by hiring a novice. But that again is not commendable on part of the employers. Somewhere, at some point, they have to hire a novice and then train him.
