The difference is as follows:
Push in Marketing happens when the supplier has the domination , influence and power to control the trend .I.e the supplier has the control over the market demand.
Pull in Marketing when the supplier respond to the marketing demands and adjust products specifications to comply with the demands.
The difference between a push and a pull system is how the units of work are assigned to the person who will be carrying out that unit of work. The concept of push and pull aren't unique to software development -the idea originates from logistics and supply chain management.
In a push system, a some kind of task is created and then assigned to a developer. A task could be anything from the implementation of a requirement (or a component needed to realize a requirement) to a bug fix to a document to write. Someone, usually some kind of manager or team leader, takes the units of work that need to be done and then allocate them to the members of the team to complete. Simply, work is pushed onto the people who will be doing it.
In a pull system, the tasks that must be done are stored in a queue, often a priority queue of sorts. An example might be Scrum's product and sprint backlogs, which contain user stories that are to be done. A developer who is currently not working on anything will go to the queue and take off the highest priority story that they are able to do and work on it. The people who are doing the work pull the work out of a list and do it.
The concept of push and pull aren't related to iterative/incremental versus sequential development. A team using iterative/incremental/agile techniques could use a push system, while a team using sequential development could use a pull system. However, typically, the agile methods (XP, Scrum) favor self-organizing teams and therefore pull systems.
Pull Concept - Customer will take the items based on the market requirement. Supplier also produce the item based on the requirement, ( What is required, When its is required, How much its is required - This is pull concept)
Push Concept - Supplier will push their items based on the production and not as per the demand.
Pull means Minimum inventory, Minimum wastage, High quality, Less space is required,
Push means Hign inventory, Hign wastage, more rejection, More space required,
In supply chains the stages are operating normally both in push- and pull-manner. Push production is based on forecast demand and pull production is based on actual or consumed demand. The interface between these stages is called the push–pull boundary.

and it can be suitable for big suppliers who have ability to store , meantime its dangerous for small suppliers .

mean supplier produce according customer needs , this is safe and suitable for small suppliers
Push is basically producing and then realising demand and pull is realising demand and then producing products. No single product is completly pull or push based reather they are continum and every product lies in between of extreams.
Definitions are very important to create context for this article. A supply chain is a minimum of a network of a business, its suppliers and customers. Thus, supply chain management by a particular business is the management of human capital, processes, materials and information between that business, its suppliers and its customers that ensures maximum customer service at maximum margin to that business.
