Most employees are aware of safety however in the ME it is now becoming part of the routine, there was never a safety culture there .
It is good that it is being trained and implemented . The biggest challenge will be the change of management procedure to get the buy in form staff and Management to drive this to reduce incidents .
The challenge is attitude and want to change
Safety culture. The attitude of people, both from the management to the workers regarding safety is a challenge.
I can visualize the challenges as under:-
a. Less utilization of budget on making safety & security set up by the top management
b. Because of meager budget and resources, less competent staff are hired specially in safety @ security section
c. There are very few moments to explore behavior-based safety programs for all staff
d. The renowned companies seem not sharing their safety and security knowledge to smaller one to promote security culture
e. Steps be taken to ensure, removal of cultural differences, thus need arises to enroll mixture of staff irrespective of class, creed and race
