Good question and difficult to give a rational answer to it. Gender (male or female) should be in general a 'neutral" factor when dealing with professional manager within a well-designed management system. Attraction and (sometimes) abuse of the "different genders" type of interaction/relation could be a factor in prefering this way or the other, but I believe it is totally unprofessional and unacceptable anyway even if such thing happens in real life.
well I will be honest and based on experience I have I prefer female manager and she must be not less than40 because females they have soft hart easy to understand and hard to deceive but I also i agree with most of the answer that what is more important is professionalism and not gender.
personnelly I do care about professionalism more than gender
i would like to work for good human being, does not matter for me (He or She)
Good question, however, I dont see any problem whom my manager would be, whether he or she, for as long as he knows how to handle a team, A manager should act as leader where he/she knows the way, shows the way and leads the way.
Gender should never be an issue in terms of leadership. But Skills and Professionalism should.
professional enviroment is important,,, gender does not matter,, any way at top positions female managers perform better because they put sentiments in soft & hard decision making, which is good for employees.
Effective manager irrespect of sex
I have no preference with respect to gender. Gender does not make a good manager, it's all about the ability to manage people with a good attitude and style.
Any gender.
Ratherly I would like to work with, whom I can understand and can make understand myself to him or her.
I don't mind about gender classification of a manager for as long as he/she is competent and worth working with.
