Of course leadership is different a lot from manager
Leader is a team player and team leader who knows well his/her target continue focus on it and know how to motivate his team towards this target , teach , training , monitor, control and support his team know the positive and negative issues of his team and upgrade their skills , doesn't know use only his authorities rather than use his/ her powerful communication skills strength by his personality and we'll knowledge of the weak points of each one of his team lead from front not push his/her team from back
I believe there are many differences.
1- Leader depends on goodwill but boss on authority.
2- Leader says 'WE' but boss Says 'I'.
3- Leader Asks people but boss commands them.
4- Leader develops people but boss uses them.
5- Leader generates enthusiasm but boss Inspires fear.
You can say that:
we manage things, but lead people.
So, the leader should have the following:
1- aspiration
2- inspiration
3- motivation

Depends on respect and honor
Cares for your well-being
Says ‘We’
Inspires enthusiasm
Gives credit
Says ‘Let’s go’
Knows how it is done

Boss (Manager)
Inspires fear

there is a lot of difference in leader and a manager.
1. A manager focuses on the task where as a leader focuses on the vision/big picture.
2. Day to day matters are priority for a manager but a leaders know how to set priorities.
3. mostly managers get stuck in non issues whereas a leader effectively ignores them and invest the time into quality works.

of course, the leader inspire peoples, peoples follow the leader, manager is boss by position only, but the leader is boss by peoples
