NICE ONE AMER, M AT THE SATURATION POINT OF MY CARRIER, BUT i will launch a new varient of my life soon,,,,my son is in university, he will join me in few years.
I see the point in your question, howwever, I also see that these are two different things although there could be something in common which is the feedback/control mechanism that adjusts what goes inside the box (process) according to the difference between "actual" outputs and "desired: ones
In your life career or career life, you try to move up the ladder all the time, getting from good to better and better and better in your journey to reach your best ! This is a continuous change in your input (desired) criteria.
During this journey, you always make comparisons to some criteria (reference) and see how much deviations exist between your expectations/desires and the reality that you are in, Accordingly, you make your decisions on what to do to correct/adjust your situation.
Let me quote an example that is tangible and measurable including multiple criteria if possible
Suppose you are making US$1,000 per month, and your desire is to reach US$1,500 next year, you work on it within the same job and same company and you get a15% salary increase, Not good enough, so you seek a better paying job in the same companhy, this does not work out, you decide to move to another company where you actually get US$2,000 per month and not just the1,500 you initially thought of. Now, the trick of the human brain clicks and you decide to shoot for US$5,000 in your next move. So, what will you do, change your career, move to another country, take two jobs at the same time, or what so ever. Suppose this works and you make the US$5,000 per month. Now what ? Now you want status, you want a prestiegous position, so you decide to go for higher academic degree, .... etc .. etc... etc
Is this lifecycle ??? I do NOT see it this way!
In the product/brand/technology/system life cycle, the situation is a little bit different, as it goes basically through the same loop again and again and again possibly to improve the performance continuously. But the reference (criteria) could be the same fixed constant parameter, and not evolving and moving up all the time
All P-D-C-A (plan-do-check-act) life cycle examples in technology and business have a different scope and limited criteria compared to life career .. although there is this feedback/compare and take corrective actions in common !
There would be a
This is an interesting question. Thank you
Thninking about it, yes it resembles a barnd's or a product's life cycle in terms of developing my product to meet customer needs and probably re-branding my self.
The main differences are that such capabilities will depend at the age stage I am in. This is easily doable at the early stages and gets more difficult as I grow older. Another difference, new products or brands carry a lot of the previous ones which is not necessarily the case for products ot brands.
Every thing has a life cycle even human, bu related to our job we must observe the point of saturation in our job which mean that it is the start of decline stage. So, take care about the point of decline to make the required transformation in our core competency.
These are well explained like this in for any industry needs practically : Life & Cycle - Life - Every product has a definite life -it becomes stagnant on growth due to various reasons (it needs innovation / business development activities to keep it rolling in new form & in the same form ) . Cycle - Every Product has a cyclical view - it has highs / lows / it should always roll . Stopping the cycle means stop of chain -stop of movement like life , it should never happen, inturn with supporting measures -we should regenerate a thrust in the old product by development activities .
