Best way to do it is to provide him or her with a financial document containing mistakes, which are easy to overlook. Then check if the smaller details are found out or not.

This helps to get an idea of:

1.The interviewee's wholesome understanding of accounting.

2.His/her ability to understand the practical and real world business aspect involved with the knowledge.
