Will have banked a lot on their aptitude(like everyone else) but things will not have gone their way.It is human to act that way but l believe the markers (more especially of higher levels) are prudent in the way they dispense of their duties. It is better to accept them(results),make a fast decision and start moving.

Some students object because they believe that the mark they received is not a true representation of their work. Interestingly, one of the arguments that is often advanced when objecting to essay marks is "how come I get14 in the first test and8 in the second test and I am the same person and it is the same subject?". This is probably due to the fact that students often fail at seeing the difference between what they know (competence) and what they write (performance). In a sense, they believe that their competence is being marked and forget that their performance that can be affected by numerous factors is what is actually being marked. p.s. My answer takes only one stand point into considation and is by no means exhaustive.

Most students object their results because they think they don't deserve it but serious students will always accept their results be it good or bad in order to make it next time.l think only lazy students object their results
