Imparting knowledge to students is a very delicate task; therefore You should do your utmost best to make it as successful as possible. I am going to outline some of the factors which I think will make the students love the subject and the teacher: Good LeadershipThe teacher should be able to manage the class well by demonstrating excellent leadership skills in order to maintain positive control of the classroom situation. If this is done, there will be coherence in the class which may ensure the smooth running of the teaching and learning process and thus the students will like their teacher.Knowledgeable of your subjectThis is a factor that will immediately win the admiration and confidence of your students. Students love a teacher who is ever ready and competent to respond to their academic problems.Teaching Style and HumorTo be knowledgeable is one thing but the method of imparting the information is yet a more important issue. A humorous and motivating teacher cause the students like him or her thus they will me focused and always look forward with enthusiasm for their teacher’s arrival in class.ConsiderateA teacher should be considerate and sensitive to the psychology of the students. He must be very sensitive to their feelings and emotions. To treat them well as you will like to be treated. This responsiveness to their emotions will create a special bond between the teachers and their students. :) Pictures, music, games, conversation role plays, information gaps, etc. can all be used to give variety to your class and make students more interested. At the same time, provide lots of encouragement to the students who try to participate in class. Especially try to encourage the quieter or naughty students to speak, and congratulate them when they make an effort. Make students think that trying is more important than getting it right

Wonderful answer from Amany, I think I would probably be a little bit more direct telling them that learning the language, even if they don't intially like it, will open up many different career paths for them and explain that the advantages far outweigh the disadvantages. There are times when you have to weild the stick rather than dangle the carrot and I would say to them "get over yourselves, it's obviously something new which you are wary of and is taking you out of your comfort zone, it's now time to grow up and grasp this opportunity to better yourself".
