Which do you prefer the value or equality of the rewards?

Do you prefer to get adequate reward that you expect or to get equal rewards as your colleagues?

Human desires are unlimited and you want more and more all the time….
I personally never compare thyself with any of my colleague but to compare thyself with thyself….
I always compare “me today” with “me yesterday” and analyze the progress of my own development and make plans for “me tomorrow”….
I am no buddy to judge other people’s reward because I believe they must be getting what they deserve and I am getting what I deserve…that’s why I am always happy….

Interesting question Samar! Thank you.
Assuming that you are referring to rewards as recognition, I believe that any form of recognition would boost employee morale.
When we talk about the “equality” of awards, I feel this can be taken care of by introducing a comprehensive Employee Recognition Program/ Policy.
This policy should clearly define purpose of the policy, the eligibility criteria, the awards for each recognition program, etc.
Once the policy is in place, employees should be informed and educated about the program.
Recognition programs can include service milestones (value of the award to commensurate with service tenure), personal milestones, top performer awards, People’s Choice Awards, etc.
When a recognition program is in place, employees will clearly understand why certain employees are rewarded and others are not.
Alternatively, it will also motivate employees to strive for those rewards.

I prefer the equality between all employees, I will be happy to receive the reward as per the company policy and in align to my grade and position in the company, but in one condition, that this is relatively satisfactory, not necessary to be fully satisfactory but at least relatively.

I agree with Shobha, Aziz and Hana Hassen's inputs.
In addition, would like to add that rewards must hold some Value in order to make the Employee feel like he/she has been rewarded for all his/her hard work and efforts.
Rewards must be presented in the midst of peers and superiors so as to promote not only the rewarded Employees' work but also the Equality of the Rewards Program.
Other employees must strive to achieve one of the many rewards that the Organization would roll out every Quarter during the year.
That is the true success of a Good Rewards Program...!!

The reward towards the good performance and the duty improvement, so it's impossible to get it equally between all staff

Equality of outcome, equality of condition, or equality of results is a political concept which is central to some political ideologies and is used regularly in political discourse, often in contrast to the term equality of opportunity.[2] It describes a state in which people have approximately the same material wealth or in which the general economic conditions of their lives are similar. Achieving equal results generally entails reducing or eliminating material inequalities between individuals or households in a society, and usually involves a transfer of income or wealth from wealthier to poorer individuals, or adopting other measures to promote equality of condition. A related way of defining equality of outcome is to think of it as "equality in the central and valuable things in life."[3] One account in the Journal of Political Philosophy suggested that the term meant "equalising where people end up rather than where or how they begin" but described this sense of the term as "simplistic" since it failed to identify what was supposed to be made equal.[4] There is widespread agreement that the term is controversial.

I will prefer an adequate reward, that is to say: the company policy will be adequate where all job functions are being measured without preferential treatment.
