What is the best task management application you have used?

I should note that I'm not looking for a full featured project management software I rather prefer a simple application that will just do the job for agile project management with a team of10 ~15.

I found MS Project2007 quite simple and easily manageable.
I usually develop training program for chemical engineers and Industrial engineering & management in this software and execute as per task management.
I accomplished training delivery by considering risk threshold although although it is not in this version.
Primavera P6(v7) is more suitable but it is little bit complicated.
My student develop program for delivery of advertisement products in the same software and he increased the efficiency of production just double in the same time of management.

A4 sheet, pencil and rubber, this is where everything starts! Then you can choose the information system that is more suited for the purpose you need to comply with! If you have the money MS Project2010 server is a good choice, if don't have the money dotProject is opensource and freeware will do good.

For a small Project MS Project is the best application providing task management at low cost, quick pace and accuracy.
There is no second thought about it.

For Agile development with a small team such as10-15 I would highly recommend some of the web based ones. I like Microsoft Project but feel that the web ones are simpler to use (though as a disclaimer I do use project at work, however, from what you said it doesn't seem suitable for you)

I would normally recommend Basecamp, however, for a team of10-15 people doing agile software development I don't think it would be suitable for your needs.

There are two I would highly recommend, http://asana.com and Quire, of the two I would recomend Quire for agile development as it allows you to breakdown your tasks hierarchically.

Hope that helps.
