Get to a place where professionalism is appreciated. In the Gulf career planning is mostly an unknown concept for the majority of the local corporates. It has to be this way since the majority of the workforce is a short residence visa and no one knows in reality when is going to end.

Sales and marketing is one of the most demanded jobs everywhere because these are functions directly related (regardless if this is a real thing or just a perception) to generating $$$ revenues and profits ...  The important thing here (regardless if it is middle-east or elsewhere) is to demonstrate a track record of results and achievements in the past jobs ...

Believe me the $$$ thing is a self-selling story ...

If you can prove you can get these $$$ to an organization , it will be more than interested in hiring you !!

We are both in the same boat. I've had great luck in my lifetime and seemed to have lost it upon boarding the plane and landing in this country. Al Hamdulillah.
