Besides what Kailash said (and it is mostly true), we need to understand what we are facing in reality. It is not just about a bunch of hackers who spend some time on their computers at nights, hacking into our well-defended systems. Cybercrime is now a huge business exceeding USD400 billion! Now there are many well organized cybercrime organizations working over the world around the clock, who work with the best experts in so many areas, from programming to network to even organization and banking. Having this picture in mind, we would not consider a few thousand dollar worth of security appliances as "sophisticated tools of defenses and high network security".
On the other hand, information security cannot be merely achieved by high-tech tools and applications; we need to assess our risks properly and allocate our scarce resources on our weakest links with highest impact and urgency for our business. We have to train our staff, both in technical and non-technical areas and employ effective security policies and procedures, which are continuously updated according to our ongoing risk assessments.
Mr. Vipin you have asked a very good intellectual question . Sadly it is TRUE that Cyber crime succeeds against sophisticated tools for defense , The main reason being , that those on the other side of cyber space involved in these criminal activities are actually great minds possessing ultimate and brilliant coding skills , penetrating skills . This ofcourse are lacked by our security professionals who are on good side , Also , this field requires constant upgradation in terms of technology and knowlegde for which constant experiments are req and criminal minded people are able to do these experiments wheras Our side of good security peole dont get to do that , because in terms and eyes of LAW , that is termed as illegal .
And to answer the final statement , those criminal minded people are among those people who are responsible for actually creating the security tools for the goverment and other industries . :)
