Dana The question is a little too open to answer.
Nevertheless, the answer is as follows:1.
MS Excel is the most popular of tools for Human Capital Management professionals.
When we interview candidates for HCM, we look for a person who has command on MS Excel.
In fact, command on Microsoft Office on the whole is appreciated.2.
MS project and Primavera are tools for Project Management, but these are also used for staff allocation3.
From Time & Billing perspective - Replicon is one of the most popular4.
Linkedin, Twitter, and facebook are being used in recruitment.
Sites like Bayt are also used in this regard.
Furthermore, software like Taleo system are also popular for management of Recruitment and Selection5.
For payroll / Human Capital integration with the whole business process, there is a variety of ERP Systems available ranging from 'SHMA-HCM' and 'FOCUS' to 'SAP' and 'Oracle'.
Obviously SAP and Oracle HCM Modules and more powerful, and popular, but these are more expensive as well.
I hope this suffices your query.
Please feel free to ask for more by narrowing down the options :)
