The commonly used control valves can be divided as follows
1. Depending on Action.
2. Depending on the Body.
1.Depending on action there are two types of control valves, (1) Air to close, (2) Air to open.
2. Depending on body:
1. Globe valves single or double seated.
2. Angle valves.
3. Butterfly valves.
4. Three way valves.
Butterfly Valve, Globe Valve, Solenoid Valve, Diaphragm Valve, etc.
The Control valve types are as follows:
1. Globe Valve: Further Typer- 2 way, 3 way, Angle valve
2. Gate Valve
3.Ball Valve
4.Diaphragm Valve
5. Needle Valve
6. Butterfly Valve
Broadly the control valves are divided into two types liner and rotary. Further there are types of these two basic types.
1) linear acting control valve
a) Globe valve
b) Gate valve
c) Diaphragm valve
2) Rotary
a) Ball vvalve
b) Plug valve
c) Butterfly valve
Angle Valves, Globe Valves, Diaphragm Valves, Rotary Valves, Sliding Cylinder Valves, Air Operated Valves
depent upon action.;
1) air to open
2) AIR TO CLOSE
Depend upon body.;
1) globe valve
2)angle valve
3) three way valve
4) butterfly valve
mainly there are3 types : pneumatic , electric and hydraulic .
Actuatore valve, globe valve, stem ball valves etc.
Simply we can say ,
Control valve body is of two type linear and rotary type
1) linear acting control valve
a) Globe valve
b) Gate valve
c) Diaphragm valve
2) Rotary
a) Ball vvalve
b) Plug valve
c) Butterfly valve
Actuators are as follows
1) pneumatic actuators
2) hydraulic actuators
3) electrical actuators
by operation we can say single acting type ,doubl acting type , 3 way valves etc ..
angle valves,rotatory valves,diaphragm valves
