Both are equally important. If you treat them well and don't train, they will not leave you bcoz they will be skeptical about the new company and atmosphere. Secondly if they are not groomed or trained professionally, leaving you won't be a choice. They know very well that they won't get a good opportunity, bcoz they are not skilled enough. Treating well a trained subordinate who is made to perform is a two-prong approach which will be a win-win situation.

I believe this is said by Sir Richard Branson and shows the value of people in an organization. I strongly believe that hiring and keeping the right people are the prerequisite of a successful business. Afterall, businesses are run by people. While you invest on employees with training to improve their performance and skill levels, it’s always beneficial and cost effective to treat them well and give them opportunities of growth. This way you can retain them to benefit from the returns. Treat them well and give them the atmosphere where they can grow and accomplish much more for themselves and for the company.

Training is specific to trade and work, while Leaving, Retention, Churn has nothing to do with training it's depend on level of satisfaction to keep one stay and continue. This level of satisfaction includes financial satisfaction, recognition , equality, overall environment and respect.

Yes Zafar, you are right we should give perfect training so that the person whom we trained never feel bad or on backlogs, else he will abuse us everytime.

But on the other thought, that, they would not leave us, its a myth, and its cost too high to us mentally.

We should always consider that every person will go after he become master.

There is a local saying in our countires that :

When needs are over, than, who are you ???

Treating human being is obligatory in every sphere of human life. Developing and training human skills is enhancing their potentials to be more productive and is an on going process irrespective of their continuing or leaving. People leave for different reasons.

Good Day!!!

I dont see anything bad in it....... We should train people as per our/organizational or job specific needs, regardless of the fear whether they will stay or not....... Even if they dont stay, they will raise the standard of your company/training manager.

People join companies for job..... but people work for people...... There are numerous examples of employees turn-over due to bad boss.

SO, if we treat them professionally and dont abuse them, we cant make their stay as long as desired.

Absolutely agreed to the statement.
