وهي تستخدم في محطات الجهد المتوسط من11 ك.ف إلى36 ك.ف ، وهي تحتوي على:

1) fuse-switch combination

2) circuit breaker

أما الغاز المستخدم في العزل فهو SF6

ووظيفة RMU هي حماية المحولات الموصلة بها في حالة حددوث مشكلة بالشبكة وأيضا لفصل جزء من الشبكة (مثلا: محول) في حالة الصيانة.
