During the period that my husband and I were working, we didn't make great expenses and every expense we did was planned and we would pick the most economic solution. So, we saved money and these funds are a great help now that I am unemployed and my husband has a part-time job. In the meanwhile, expenses in Greece are way bigger now that the government has proceed to social-benefit cuts and we have to pay everything and ofcourse pay a lot of taxes. The only expenses now is for the education of our daughter and all the other desires that a healthy grown-up has, they simply shrinked to the minimum! (like nice clothes, shoes etc.). But on the other hand, you can't live like this forever, a life isn't consisted only by the basic needs.

Yes it is a very difficult situation. It is more difficult in South Asia where the govts spend billions of dollars in defence budget but do not provide any social security benifits like some countries.

Needs are unlimited so one will have to priorities the needs according to the financial situation. Face difficulties as challenges and looking down the ladder would perhaps give some solace.

Do not give up and keep trying to overcome the testing period. Use this time to develop self and gain knowledge. Things would change as the time changes.

Yeah I have faced that situation. I always remember those days When I was jobless, I decided to teach students (tuition).

I spend most time with them and got fee. I started with2 students but after2 month my whole class was full.

In those I tried to control on my expenses and expend salary on basic needs.

I was very confident about my future. At least I got first step towards my goal.

It is a great question in the poor developing country. I had faced the problem too. I tried to be engaged in self employment. I think, one should involve a good work though it is not financially healthy and try to get expected job.

Through hardworking in any other field..
