This is what I have been doing and talking about for the last10 years or so in my consultancy/professional services.
Away from "copy and paste" practices you find wide-spread in the consultancy world, I have been preaching "grass-roots upwards" work based on case-by-case specifics of each and every situation. Combined with the three succes-driven pillars model I have also been preaching .. (1) market-driven (2) customer-focused and (3) process-managed >>> we may come close to the subject of this question !!
