in USA we used to charge hourley rate based on real time spent.

in the middle east most firms wanted a total consultancy cost .meaning to solve and provide a solution to them you must provide an estimated cost per project.

they mostly donot accept hourly or daily time frames for such services.

i have priced my services on total project  time and value.

you must keep in mind that in the middle east as a freelancer you must not expect high pay.

good luck,.

Based on your man-day fee, in other words, you have to estimate the number of days to work on the project then you do price the project accordingely. Defining your man-day could be based on your expectations (how many projects you will get per month or year and how much you are willing to make) it should be also realstic and in line with your experience and the value-added.

However, sometimes you should take into consideration the importance of getting the project for future opportunities or your client policy.

Good luck :)
