Do modern Accountants know how to prepare full set financial statements or do they rely on ERP not knowing the mechanics inside?

I don't believe yuppy accountants would know how to prepare P & L, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow Statement manually!

ERP is important to do the transactional but the Accountant he must knows what happen what kind of transactions happening
