It has acid hydrogen chloride in the layers of stomach, when the food enters into the stomach the acid is released and the food is digested along with the other enzymes which supports digestion

enzymes like proteases,peptidases,pepsin etc present in stomach helps to digest proteins into amino acids essential for biomolecular cycles and metabolism cycles
