A job is a "means to an end", it provides employment and a salary so that, in the most basic of ways, a person can survive and provide for themselves and their families. A career goes beyond this premise as it is a vocation although it effects the same "basics" as a job (employment, salary) these are almost secondary as a career is about interest, longevity, progression/advancement etc etc.

career is a persons life long ambition...... its his dream about him.

Job is an essential to human life.

In simple words Career is how world depends on him and Job is how he depends on the world.

job is something you do to in the short term to earn cash. It’s filling a work role within a business exchange for money.A career, though, is a long-term pursuit of a lifelong ambition. You may or may not need any particular education or special training to do a job but a career requires some sort of specialized training that develops an individual’s ability to do the work that career entails. In some cases, this training can come in the form of experience.

On the face of it , on one hand , to some people , most of the times , the two words are identical , alike & commensurate with each others . On the other hand , to most people , if not all , they're interchangeable , indistinguishable & undifferentiated . Now , beneath the surface , & , if one digs deep deeply enough , the two vocabularies , to my mind , are mutually exclusive , & , yet , they're inextricably interwoven , intertwined & interrelated . This symbiotic relationship emanates from the fact that both of them are predicated & based on three crucial & essential monads , & they are ( Speciality - Duration - Changeability ) . As for the first building block the ( Speciality ) , a Career is considered as such ( As a Career ) , when the person in question is practicing & putting their special interests or skills , that they enrolled in an Academic entity for & got a Degree in , into a practical application in a specific relevant & related position , i.e ( A law Degree for a Lawyer ) .If this Law-Degree Holder had a position that did not require this degree , but any degree for that matter , or even none , then this position could be considered as a Job not a Career . ( Mutually Exclusive ) . Now , if this person had no problem , qualm or queasiness with this position that did not require a Law Degree , or no degree at all , & , most importantly , he or she considered it as a Career & not a Job , then , for all intents & purposes , it would be looked at as such , as a Career . ( Inextricably Interwoven ) . This leads to the second constituent ( Duration ) . Normally , a Career is arrived at when it's proprietor spent a somewhat considerable time honing & perfecting his or her craft , to the point that they could convincingly & wholeheartedly put across the message that they have a Career that they can be proud of . Whereas a Job usually requires a period of time that does not go as far in span as a Career does . However , & here's the rub of the issue , sometimes one could attain & obtain the level of a Career in a short period of time , & , one could spend along time in a certain position , & , still they cannot call it a Career , but a Job . It all depends on the personal traits , mental capacity & exerted effort of the incumbent , & , how they managed to utilize & employ such factors to achieve their ultimate goal of having a Career which is ever-evolving & thriving . That does not mean that a Job position could not be as Successful . One , simply , could be holding a Job Position ( Not a Career post ) , & ,still be successful . And this leads to the third segment ( Changeability ) , which applies more to the Job situation than it is to the Career one . In other words , if one is successful at a certain position , & , is regarded as a Career , then nothing's left for it's holder but to keep on keeping on , by continuing to hone , sharpen , refine , improve their skills , so that they'd continue to be outstanding & prominent . The nub & crux , is when a Job-holding individual who's successful at what he or she does , decides that this Job is the One ( The It ) , & , he or she will continue at it as a Career , or , that they decide , that since that they're not satisfied or even not successful , to switch ( Change ) to another line of work that could be successful , whether in the near or far future , & , could be perceived as a Career . Now , that does not mean that a successful Job-holder to begin with cannot Change to a totally different line of work , & , becomes successful at it too , & , even considers it as A career . last but certainly not least , one could argue that so long as one is in love with their work , & , successful at what they do , then the issue of ( Job or Career ) is just pure & mere semantics , & , termenology wouldn't make that much of a difference at the end of the day , especially when it comes to this issue , & , it ( The issue ) would render itself extraneous , irrelevant & impertinent . After all , it's all a matter of perspective , & , most , if not all things , are considered relative & comparative . ( & That's the way it goes ) .

i think there's a huge difference between a job and career but in simple words a job is the post you get depending on what kind of diploma you have so it's basicly the next automatic step you take 'get' after finishing studies in normal societies while the career is what you spend the rest of your lifr trying to build by proving yourself in that post if you change your job u'll start from  0  but both will still be part of your career

career is somhow the outcome of a  long time experience ... or so i see it
