i prefer that the way to access to my app would not be only from my laptop or my desk , i need to get access where ever i was
Best of both worlds , eg. the place I'm typing A browser (i.e. desktop website) loads a web site amd has plugins that behave like desktop apps. These days lot of desktop apps use webbrowsercontrols to load dynamic content for some screens. This way it's easier for both , the user does not need to explicitly update his App , also the developer need not create a separate deployment executable each time he wants some change.

One unfortunate drawback to a desktop application is that you can’t access this type of app if you don’t have your computer handy.
