THE THE PERSON CAN CHANGE THE HABIT BUT HE CAN NOT CHANGE THE PERSONALITY"
MBTI and along with so many other personality tests provide a great insight into 'basic' personality characteristics that a particular person 'prefers'. The problem arises when we take these tests as the only personality interpretation for anyone rather than preferential model as even explained within these models...
For example: I can not speak for others but I am not much of an out going person or talkative person but that does not mean that I am a hermit............rather I am a trainer who loves to work with others and see them progress in their fields. I like to learn from others who may have opposite personality traits.
Therefore, in answer to above question, I think we should not limit ourselves to these 4 letter words but use them to understand and transform ourselves into better human beings.
Using MBTI with 5 Dysfunctions Model of Pat Lencoini has helped me find amazing team dynamics for one of my training projects.
In my opinion Myers - Briggs is a great method to find the "RIGHT PERSON FOR THE RIGHT JOB" each position and role is different from other. We need to find the right skills for the job but most importantly the right personality for delivering the desirable result.
If the personalty doesnot matches with the skill set than the person will not strive towards excellence.
In conclusion " THE PERSON CAN CHANGE THE HABIT BUT HE CAN NOT CHANGE THE PERSONALITY"
According to question if you are INTP than your dominating personality type is Introvert. You are analytical, adaptable,Independent, critical and logical.
